Service providers and resellers
Companies that resell or service another vendor's platform and need more than its API offers.
- “Our vendor's API does half of what our customers need.”
- “Our billing vendor and our service vendor do not know about each other.”
- “Customers call us for things the vendor's console could show them.”
One layer over the vendors
We build a server-side layer that joins the vendors into one record per customer. Secrets stay on the server, and each customer sees only what is theirs.
Vendor data corrected before it is shown
Vendor systems report units inconsistently, label states misleadingly and sometimes report success on a change they refused. The layer normalizes what they send and verifies what they claim.
Features the vendors do not offer
Schedules and automations run against the vendor's system on the reseller's terms, checked every minute, with an audit trail and an alarm when the vendor disagrees.
A portal in the reseller's name
Customers manage their own service in a portal branded as the reseller's, and staff get a console for accounts, coupons and messages without waiting for a deploy.
The objection
What happens when the vendor changes its API?
The layer is the one place that talks to each vendor, so a change is handled once, behind the scenes, and the portal and its customers never see it.
Where to start
- Vendor platform extensionsIntegrations and complianceVendor platform extensions add the features a vendor's platform does not offer and bring several vendors into one system. One server-side layer connects the vendors, corrects their data and adds automation, such as a backup connection that switches on for business hours.
- Customer and dealer portalsSales and CRMCustomer and dealer portals let customers approve quotes, pay invoices and check order status, and give dealers their leads, orders and materials in one place. Status questions are answered on screen instead of by phone, and every screen carries the company's brand.
- Event-driven integration layerIntegrations and complianceThe event-driven integration layer publishes every order, movement and payment as an event with a retry and a delivery receipt, replacing automation flows that fail without notice. A new automation is one more subscriber to events the platform already publishes.
- Quote-to-cashSales and CRMQuote-to-cash turns a quote into an order, the order into an invoice, and the invoice into a payment link. Every document is generated from the live record, so the quoted price carries through to the invoice unchanged.
Questions this answers
- Which customers are affected when a vendor has an outage?
- Which orders shipped without a tracking update?
- Which accounts changed plan this month?
Book a systems audit
Start with a systems audit.
We list what customers ask for that the vendors cannot do, check each vendor's documentation against the list, and say what can be built around it.
